BOSTON, MA — Joyce and Bill Cummings were pleased to recently serve as keynote speakers to more than 400 representatives of local not-for-profits. During a 20-minute talk, they shared their personal and business backgrounds, spoke about Cummings Properties and Cummings Foundation, and discussed the future of the Foundation’s new grant-making affiliates. Students from Rwanda’s Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village visit Massachusetts

Cummings Foundation recently hosted the founder and three students from Rwanda’s Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village on the Massachusetts portion of a U.S. visit. The students met with American peers at Woburn Memorial High School, and then joined supporters for a lunch at Beacon Grille.

"Holocaust by Bullets: A Priest's Journey to Uncover the Truth Behind the Murder of 1.5 Million Jews."

Father Patrick Desbois, a noted Holocaust researcher and president of Yahad-In-Unum, spoke to more than 400 students and community members on March 13 at Tuft's University's Cohen Auditorium. The French Catholic priest detailed his work revealing undiscovered mass graves from the Holocaust through interviews with residents of small villages in Eastern Europe.

The Aegis Trust helps carry out justice

While meeting today with James Smith, M.D., co-founder and CEO of the Aegis Trust, Dr. Smith shared with IWJ exciting news of the first arrest under the UK's recently signed genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity law. The Aegis Trust was highly instrumental in the passage of this law, which allows for the prosecution of perpetrators going back to 1991, 10 years more than allowed by the previous law. Smith said he is delighted with the strong message the arrest sends to people who committed such atrocities, as well as to the survivors and family members.
