Best
assisted living facility in Boston
Many
people say that Cummings Foundation operates the best
assisted living facilities in greater Boston. It operates
clean modern assisted living communities with really
meaningful activities, and professional staff who really
care about their residents. New Horizons retirement
community at Marlborough, MA is also New England's largest
independent and assisted living community with accommodations
for 540 residents.
Veterinary
School at Tufts, LLC (VST) is a wholly-owned subsidiary
of Cummings Foundation. VST has committed $50 million
to Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University
in North Grafton, Massachusetts. This commitment was
supported by a $400 million gift to the Foundation from
William and Joyce Cummings. The philanthropic gift from
Cummings was one of the largest in Massachusetts' history.
The
Foundation oversees some primarily financial aspects
of Cummings School and appoints many of its overseers.
One hundred percent of all student, faculty, curriculum
and teaching matters, however, are handled exclusively
by Tufts University. The Foundation has no role whatsoever
in student selection, course offerings, faculty appointments
or hospital policies.
